The Bolsheviks of
Pyatigorsk held a solemn meeting on March 25 near the monument of
S.M. Kirov, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the recognition of
the power of the People's Commissars of the RSFSR in Pyatigorsk
(1918), the 98th anniversary of the liberation of Pyatigorsk and
Caucasian Mineral Waters from the White Guard troops of General
Denikin (1920), and the 30th anniversary of the revival of Bolshevism
1988).
Relying on the Terek People's Council, the Bolsheviks of Pyatigorsk convened on March 17, 1918, the Second Congress of the Terek people. Sergei Mironovich Kirov delivered a report "On the Current Political Moment". The Congress adopted on March 17, 1918, a resolution recognizing the authority of the Soviet of People's Commissars of the RSFSR. The Terek region was declared an autonomous republic within the RSFSR.
In the square named after SM. Kirov were exhibited: the standard of the AUCPB, the flag of the AUCPB with the image of V.I. Lenin and J.V. Stalin, red flags with a sickle and a hammer, banners, and newspapers "Bolshevik Sickle and Hammer", "Revolution", were distributed including the book by N.A. Andreeva "The future is for socialism."
The meeting was opened by the playing of the Stalin anthem of the USSR. The meeting was addressed by the Secretary of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Comrade N.A. Degtyarenko, Secretary of the Mineralvodsky CC of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, Comrade V. Skvortsov. and other comrades.
Those present at the rally unanimously adopted the statement of the rally.
The foot of the monument to S.M. Kirov was blessed with flowers.
